Coffee Break Project

Partnership with Francisco Pitschieller.

The idea was to transform a serving tray into a table. With simplicity and object flexibility in mind, it was designed to be light, robust and easy to assemble. The process is quite simple and it consists of transforming a (2mm thick) plastic sheet (PP) into a cylinder using snap metal buttons. Two handles are cut into the plastic sheet and a "U" shaped rubber strip is the final touch to the handles and the edges (bottom and upper), in order to cover the rough extremities of the plastic sheet. A circular tray serves as the table top.

Materials: PP plastic sheet, cicular tray snap metal buttons.
Dimensions: 45 cm diameter and 45 cm heignt.
